Attorney Profiles

Attorney Marvin H. Gold is the ultimate general practitioner. In the early 1970s, he made it through law school by taking night classes at Temple University in Philadelphia while working full time during the day as an auto mechanic at a Volkswagon dealer in Jenkintown.

After he graduated, Marvin single-handedly learned construction and transformed an old Hatboro shoe store into the law office in which he has practiced for 40 years and counting. At about the same time, he began the decades-long process of converting a semi-vacant barn in nearby Ivyland into a beautiful, well-built home. He and Bev, his wife of 42 years, still live there and raised their two children there.

In forty-six years of practice, Marvin has tried and won almost every type of case that exists: Criminal and civil, state and federal, small to large, simple to infinitely complex. Aided by his knowledge of car mechanics, his knowledge of building construction, and the knowledge he has gleaned from thousands of clients in many dozens of different professions, he can provide you with something few lawyers can: the reassurance that he knows your business and will do everything possible with that knowledge to out-maneuver opponents so that you can win your lawsuit.

When Marvin is not practicing law, he can probably be found weight lifting, working outdoors on his and his wife's nine-acre horse farm, renovating a building, splitting firewood, working on his tractor, or playing with his two grandchildren. When the weather is nice, he can also be found taking his wife out camping or to breakfast on his Honda Goldwing motorcycle.

In 2014, Marvin Gold's law practice gained a second lawyer, Marvin's son, Attorney Travis A. Gold.

Like Marvin, Travis Gold got his law degree from Temple University Law School. Unlike Marvin, Travis fell in love with Philadelphia during his time at Temple and now lives in the Chestnut Hill section of the city with his wife, Meredith. He grew up in Bucks County.

Travis is the researcher who will answer every client's question when that answer is more complicated than yes or no. He drafts most of the pleadings, motions, briefs and filings that the law office turns out, and if there is any obscure rule, law, case, or strategy that will help his clients get what they need, he will make sure it is found.

Travis is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Prior to joining his father, he interned for two common pleas judges, a district attorney's office, and worked on the legal staff of a large title insurance company, which was fun until Travis realized he wanted to help clients with more than just their mortgages and deeds.

When Travis is not in the office, and not writing briefs at home, he can be found bicycling on the Schuylkill River Trail in Philadelphia, reading fantasy novels pressed upon him by his insistent wife, and volunteering as a grant writer for the non-profit group Friends of J.S. Jenks, which raises money to support the local public school.

Linda Brown is a certified Paralegal having completed the certification program at Widener University in 1989. Linda has been working with Marvin Gold as his Paralegal/Office Manager/Secretary since 2004 and has over 32 years of experience in the field of general law. Prior to becoming a certified Paralegal she was a certified X-Ray Technologist and also worked part time as a Pharmacy Technician for a few years while also working full time as a Paralegal.

Linda resides in Doylestown with her husband, Mike. They have four daughters and two grandchildren whom they love spending time with. In her spare time Linda became a certified personal trainer through the program at Bucks County Community College. Although she does not train others, it has helped her improve her knowledge of how to get the most out of her workouts at the gym where she enjoys spending a lot of her time when not working as a Paralegal. She also enjoys biking with her husband and taking walks with her Wheaten Terrier Maya.
